6-14-14: The National Pro Fitness League (NPFL) - Vegas Combine Events/Races




Tomorrow we are headed to Las Vegas (Orleans Arena) to support Coach Mike in the Vegas Combine; which is the last and final combine before the first draft held a few weeks later in Miami. On Monday, about 200 athletes will compete in 10 matches on two grids. Teams will make their selections for 100 athletes to move forward to Tuesday.

Coach Mike is scheduled to start his Competition at 2:00PM on Monday. He will be in Match 7 on Team 1,Grid 1. FOLLOW RxActionApp on Instagram and download the APP for some more in depth updates throughout the event.




THE EVENTS
Over a 2 hour time span, Coach Mike and his Team will complete the following events. 
The Bold M's and F's represent the number of male or female athletes to complete that specific race. 

Race 1

MF – 4 min
9 – 7 – 5 – 3 reps of:
  • Snatch
  • Box jump over
Male weights are 155 / 185 / 215 / 245
Female weights are 105 / 115 / 135 / 145
Male heights are 30 / 30 / 36 / 36
Female heights are 24 / 24 / 30 / 30
(Male Snatch, Female Snatch, Male Box, Female Box) x 4
Can’t rep unless partner is in their box
Points: Winner = 2, Second = 1, DNF = 0

Race 2

MMMFFF – 5 min
  • 40 Thrusters at 235 / 145
Two barbells – can’t get more than one rep ahead, after 10 reps move boxes
Barbell can’t touch ground – all to start area if it does
Points: Winner = 2, Second = 1, DNF = 0

Race 3

MM – 5 min
  • 40 Deadlifts at 275
  • 40 Chest-to-bar Pull-ups
  • 4 Rope Climbs
  • 40 Shoulder-to-Overhead at 165
One barbell each station, one person only working at a time
Points: Winner = 2, Second = 1, DNF = 0

Race 4

MM – 5 min
  • 40 Deadlifts at 275
  • 40 Chest-to-bar Pull-ups
  • 4 Rope Climbs
  • 40 Shoulder-to-Overhead at 165
One barbell each station, one person only working at a time
Points: Winner = 2, Second = 1, DNF = 0

Race 5

FF – 5 min
  • 40 Deadlifts at 185
  • 40 Chest-to-bar Pull-ups
  • 4 Rope Climbs
  • 40 Shoulder-to-Overhead at 105
One barbell each station, one person only working at a time
Points: Winner = 2, Second = 1, DNF = 0

Race 6

FF – 5 min
  • 40 Deadlifts at 185
  • 40 Chest-to-bar Pull-ups
  • 4 Rope Climbs
  • 40 Shoulder-to-Overhead at 105
One barbell each station, one person only working at a time
Points: Winner = 2, Second = 1, DNF = 0

Race 7

All – 7 min
Clean Ladder
  • 16 Barbells 115, 130, 145, 160, 175, 190, 205, 220, 235, 250, 265, 280, 295, 310, 325, 340
One player on the ladder at any time (previous player must be in Finish before leaving Start).
One attempt per barbell, every successful pound counts, start anywhere, skip any, can only move forward.
Must alternate genders.
Points: Overall winner = 2, Female winner = 1

Race 8

MF – 6 min
  • 70 Handstand Push-ups
  • 35 Deficit Handstand Push-ups
  • 10 Freestanding HSPU
One person only working at a time
Points: Winner = 2, Second = 1, DNF = 0

Race 9

MMM – 6 min
  • 10 OHS 165lbs
  • 20 Toes-to-bar
  • 10 DB Pistols (50lbs)
  • 10 Muscle-ups
  • 15 Burpee over the Box
Three stations, all going at the same time, must switch together.
Points: Winner = 2, Second = 1, DNF = 0

Race 10

FFF – 6 min
  • 10 OHS 105lbs
  • 20 Toes-to-bar
  • 10 DB Pistols (30lbs)
  • 10 Muscle-ups
  • 15 Burpee over the Box
Three stations, all going at the same time, must switch together.
Points: Winner = 2, Second = 1, DNF = 0

Race 11

MMMMFFFF – 8 min
  • 18 Wallball at 18lbs
  • 15 Overhead Squats at 185
  • 12 DB Hang Split Snatch (alternating legs) at 2x45lbs
  • Handstand Walk
  • 9 Bar Muscle-ups
  • 90 Double-unders
  • 9 Burpee to 10′ ring
  • 9 Clean and Jerks at 225
Relay – each athlete takes one element.
Runs to station, does drill, runs to start line then finish line.
Points: Winner = 3, Second = 1, DNF = 0
