Day 41: Outside the Box

Strength
Rock Climbing

WOD
1.5 Mile Trail Run

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that builds general physical preparedness for all of life’s challenges. A blend of gymnastics, weightlifting, and mono-structural endurance, it does not specialize. It will never plateau. It is fun, creative, and, most importantly, it works. We teach you to do common things uncommonly well, while developing a base of strength and stamina on which you can build an active lifestyle. CrossFit encourages people to do physical activities outside of the box. Get out and run. Get out and Climb. Get out and jump. Get out of your house and get fit!

In todays WOD (video below) Coach Mike is climbing a 5.10c rating climb as his first ever climb. This is pretty impressive as someones first climb but what makes it even more impressive is that he did not use climbing shoes (which make climbing much easier due to increased grip).
